Tasnim optimises the everyday girl-next-door, “yes, that is something I would wear” looks because of the simplicity of her style. She has a nice mix of styles from streetwear that is on trend to fancy elegant chic outerwear. We love that Tasnim incorporates traditional Malay wear (Baju Kurung) with modern modest wear, something that is very refreshing to see, the mixture of tradition and modernity.
At only 19, Tasnim has become an influence in the Malaysian Instagram community, currently with 327 thousand followers and counting. Her popularity has already captured the attention of fashion and beauty brands such as Losravelda Losra where she featured in their Ready-to-wear 2016 collection. Ascia’s bubbly and approachable personality makes her loveable a reason as to women are so drawn to her. Her fashion sense is creative; being a fashion designer she knows what works well for her and being a mother enables her to help and inspire women who are going through trouble dressing right for their pregnancy. Ascia began giving an insight into her private life discussing the hardships she had been facing once she became a mother, which many women found relatable.
Her career in fashion skyrocketed when Ascia released her own designs with Riva, a popular Middle Eastern fashion chain after collaborating with them for many years. Ascia is known for not following the latest trends, or resembling the fashionable norm as she creates her own trend and follows her own rules, and whatever Ascia wears, women want to wear it too.
