T: A short bio about yourself? 3-4 lines that best describe you, what you do for a living and so…

V: My name is Vikneswary Ramoo and my friends call me Vicky. I’m 25 years old and I decided to follow my dream and be a flight attendant.

T: Where have you been?

V: I’ve been to a few countries before I started my flying career. And now, I’m flying to destinations many can only dream off and I’m so grateful for that.

T: What was your best trip?

V: The best trip for me was Koh Samui in Thailand, one of the most beautiful islands in the world.

T: What did you learn about yourself during the trip?

V: I’ve learnt about compassion. I loved the way NGO’s protect and care for elephants. I would love to help elephants around the world if I were given a chance. They’re such gentle beasts that need attention. These giant loving animals are abused on a daily basis; so many tourists ride them just for pictures. People need to be educated and fill their ignorance with knowledge.

T: What’s your favourite travel destination and why?

V: My favourite destination is Sabah. Why look outwards when the beauty is in our own backyard. My favourite place in Sabah is at the foot of Mount Kinabalu. The cold wind will make you love it even more. Also, that’s where I did my Paragliding. Soaring through the air like a free bird.

T: Your favourite and most useful travel hacks?

V: You should never overpack! I usually roll all my clothes to fit my backpack and only have 1 hand-carry item to take. Trust me you don’t need an extra 20kg baggage.

T: Being a flight attendant and getting to travel every day, how does meeting new people from various part and parcel of the world impact you on travelling?

V: I pick up new languages fast. I can count in Arabic, say thank you in Thai and usually the passengers and I will laugh out loud when I make mistakes while trying. But hey! I learn a thing or two from them.
