The concept of a staycation in KL is fairly new. Stress levels are higher than ever amongst the young professionals and they are looking for ways to remove stress. And they want it fast and affordable.
Luckily, with the Airbnb era and the hype of a staycation in Klang valley, properties are catching up. There are tons of choices to to make the your best version of a stay at home vacation. But, it’s not just in KL. It’s also in its nearby states, for example, this property called The Haven in Ipoh.
Built in late 2012, The Haven Ipoh is easily one of the most relaxing and ‘Zen’ properties Ipoh has to offer, spending a day here can easily beat any property listed in an article with a headline, “Best Staycation in KL“, or “Staycation Ideas For Your Next Holiday“. And here’s why:
Well Loved by Locals & Foreigners
Being one of the Top hotel choices in Ipoh per Tripadvisor, The Haven is consistently praised by foreigners and Malaysians for its top notch service, family friendly amenities, high quality bedding and overall relaxing vibe. It was scenic and mellow, something you should totally go for a vacation, which a staycation in KL can’t offer.
You Don’t have to Go out
Dedicated to making you stay all day at the resort, The Haven makes sure guests are busy. It houses a gym, a badminton court, running trail, swimming pool, a place where you can do Yoga, and you can also play basketball after they have done renovations this year. Yup, time to bring the boys over for some ballin’.
Although, it’ll be great if they can also bring an in-house spa, whilst having their famous big limestone as the backdrop while you have your massage. Imagine how Instagram worthy your picture is going to be. But I guess, they can also do a room spa type since all rooms have bath tubs.
A Staycation in KL is good, but
With a bag of awards like World Luxury Family in 2015, Luxury World Wedding Venue and Luxury Hotel Restaurant in Malaysia for 2016 AND still charge a day rate of less than a thousand ringgit per night. Go and take our money, The Haven!
For example, a day rate in one of the nicest Airbnbs in KL cost around 500 ringgit per day, good for two people, without any breakfast. And let’s say if I fancy a 5 star hotel staycation, that would cost me close to 800 ringgit, just for two people.
Some Insider Tips
1. Do not stay at a low level, especially in the poolside area, it tends to get noisy. We prefer the mid-level like floors 7 to 10. There you really get to see how amazing the view is.
2. Stay away from the city view, and opt for the lake view any time of the day.
3. Staying for one night is amazing in itself, if you plan to stay longer it is totally up to you.
