Meet our next Tripfezroamer, Idzani Johar and check out his awesome video at the end of this interview!
T: A short bio about yourself, A 3-4 lines that best describe you, what you do for a living and so…
I: For living, I am an Investment Operations Analyst in the Banking & Finance Industry. In another life, I would probably be a National Geographic Photographer. I like to think of myself as a light chaser, I have been chasing Auroras for a while now, and glad to finally captured Australis with my lens.
T: Where have you been?
I: I’ve lived in Sydney, currently in Melbourne, hence travelled to a lot around Victoria. I’ve been to Indonesia, England, France, New Zealand, and Nepal.
T: What’s your favourite place so far? Why?
I: My favourite is Nepal. At first, I thought it will be because of the mountains and sceneries there, but I end up loving it because of the people. They’re very accommodating and resilient.
T: One unforgettable travel experience or incident that sticks in your mind…?
I: One of the most unforgettable experience during my travels was seeing a sky filled with stars forming the Milky Way like I have never seen before in South Island, New Zealand. When you live in a city, you’d be surprised how much you’re missing out on the night skies due to light pollution.
T: What was the most challenging thing about travelling?
I: The most challenging thing about travelling for me is the transition between places, going through the processes at the airport, and waiting.
T: What place is top of your bucket list?
I: The top of my bucket list is probably Jerusalem, Palestine.
T: One advice for travellers?
I: Travel with the intention of broadening your mind, understanding cultures, and find a way for you to benefit society even in the smallest of ways. And when you adore creation, remember to attribute it to the Creator. 🙂
I’ve made a video of my life/travel in New Zealand here:
