Check out Victor interview!
T: A short bio about yourself, A 3-4 lines that best describe you, what you do for a living and so…
V: I’m a fresh graduate, being said that, I worked multiple part-time throughout my studies, where I’m still a swim teacher, tutor, and I sleep a lot.
T: Where have you been?
V: During the past summer, I spent months working in the USA, save some money and travel in the States, and to East Euro: UK, Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest, Venice, Rome, and stopover in Turkey before flying back to Malaysia.
T: What’s your favourite place so far? Why?
V: I would choose Vietnam as my favourite country. The expenses are not expensive and I love the coffee culture there, sipping coffee on the sidewalk cafe…ahhh, pure happiness.
T: One unforgettable travel experience or incident that sticks in your mind…
V: Rumour has that Istanbul is a place full of scam, when I went there I have no cell phone data, It was really hot on that day and I’m lost so I asked a random local for direction and he was so kind, he lead me to the place where I wanted to go and even bought me a drink. So, don’t believe everything people say, go and experience the place yourself!
T: Many Muslim travellers are anxious as the issue of Islamophobia is rising. How can we deal with this issue?
V: Feeling anxious in a foreign country is very disturbing for some people but I think its normal… Maybe we need to remind ourselves that it is important to stay calm in whatever situation we’re facing and to always stay safe. Also maybe Muslims should start exploring a “safer” country first (SEA-countries is okay, and places like Australia, Japan, Korea) at least until this issue is resolved. This is just my thought but whatever it never stops exploring.
T: What place is top of your bucket list?
V: Russia!
