For breakfast, we would like to recommend one of the coolest cafes in KL – The Picnic Table. When was the last time you pack sandwiches and bring a mat to the park to enjoy a relaxing picnic with friends or family? You can do it today, and the best part is you don’t have to take anything with you (don’t forget your wallet-lah).

Located in Kota Damansara, The Picnic Table cafe is a dream come true for fellow Instagrammers as their cafe is themed as an indoor park with artificial grass and custom-made picnic benches where you can enjoy delicious sandwiches and yummy pasta.

This cafe isn’t just about its interior! You are going to be spoiled with a lot of choices In the menu like egg, tuna, sauteed mushroom and smoked salmon sandwiches, to name a few. My favourite is the Senorita – Garlic Butter Prawns Sandwich with a pinch of chilli flakes (RM15) which is also their signature dish! You can taste the butter in every chew and it’s simply filling. Sip their delicious Mint Hot Chocolate (RM10) and enjoy your loved one’s company.

Dotty’s Pastries & Coffee is a perfect spot for brunch

Are you a fan of salted-egg? If yes, good news because this cafe specializes in salted-egg pastries and pastas. My favourite pastry is Cronut – a salted egg croissant doughnut (RM11). The sweet and salty taste of the topping will leave you wanting more and I guess that’s why it sells out really fast. BTW, you can only purchase 4 cronuts per person.

If you want something flakier, try Salted Egg Yolk Charcoal Cruffin (RM10) as the sweet taste of charcoal make a perfect balance with the salted egg yolk topping. Order the cooling Ice Yuzu Berry Soda (RM14) along and enjoy the cosy ambience of the cafe.

You can choose to visit the branch in Menara TH, more spacious than the Tun Dr Ismail Branch but equally Instagrammable. Bright dining area with cute displays of pastries will make you don’t want to leave this place ever! Make sure you take an Instagram shot of the baking space with pastries aligned waiting to be served by the friendly waiter.

Opening Time: Daily 8am – 8pm
Location: I prefer the branch in KLCC area https://goo.gl/maps/NuMsY66PGWu
How to get here: Take LRT from KL Sentral to KLCC station. From there you can either walk for about 20 mins or take a Grab/Uber to the cafe.

Enjoy authentic Indian food at Idli Only Cafe, Bangsar

Idli Only Cafe is definitely the best cafe in Bangsar
Source: Eat Drink KL – blogger

Located in the chaotic Bangsar Idli Only Cafe is a perfect spot for lunch especially if you love Idli, steamed lentil, and rice cakes. Idli is normally served with chutney, mint dip, podi, dried chilli, chickpeas and sesame seeds dip, and sambar, a lentil-based vegetable stew.

If you’re a first-timer, try the Butter Podi Idli (RM8 for three pieces). This Idli is fried with butter and spices and completes your meal with the hot masala tea (RM 2). They also serve lunch set for four with 12 variety Idlis (RM30) such as Idli Upma (crumbled leftover idlis), Manchurian (idli make into dumplings) and Butter Podi Idli. Since Idli are made on an order, expect 15 minutes waiting time before you can enjoy your fluffy and delicious idlis.

Although at first, it appears as a normal cafe with nothing much to Instagram, we still think a shot of the authentic Indian meals on the metal platter will get you hundreds of likes.

Dinner @ Jibby & Co Empire Shopping Gallery, Subang

Listed as one of the best SS15 cafes, now you know where to eat in KL
Source: tripadvisor.co.uk

Instagrammers will love this cafe! Located just outside Empire Shopping Gallery, Subang, this greenhouse shaped cafe is simply mesmerizing. The entrance is decorated with Middle-Eastern inspired tiles and the traditional ceiling fans along with rolling blinds added personality to the cafe. Inside, the two-story space is adorned with pastels colour tablecloth and sofas. The bulb wiring compliments the cafe.

For dinner, order Meatball Pasta in rich tomato sauce (RM29) or opt for their Asian cuisine favourite Clear Thai Lime Flat Noodle Soup (RM29),  a noodle soup with sea-bass fillet, prawn dumplings, bird eye chilis and fresh coriander. No matter which you choose, their dishes will leave you wanting more.

Even though the food is quite overpriced, it comes in a big portion so you might need to share a plate. Considering that, I guess Jibby & Co is still worth visiting.

Rose shaped gelato for dessert @ Miss Rose cafe

Wrap your day with soothing gelato at Miss Rose cafe located at SS15, Subang Jaya. You can choose a flavour or two and the friendly team will turn it into an Instagrammable shape of rose petals. You can also film the making process of the rose and ‘wow’ everybody on Instagram. Make sure you choose different colours of gelato to make sure your pictures turn out really pretty.

I recommend you to try the Oreo Mint and Nutella flavours. The colour contrast between the two flavours also would make your feed look more lively. You can also go for the bestseller, Ferrero Rocher and Dark Chocolate both exquisite in taste and texture.

Overall, Miss Rose is a minimalist cafe with neutral hues decoration except at the gelato counters where it is decorated with roses hanging from the ceiling. The spacious cafe is perfect for you and your friends to hang out all evening!
