Well, the Japanese government is expecting more than 40 million tourists will come to Tokyo including tourists from more than 50 Muslim countries. (InsyaAllah) In anticipation and preparation for the event, Japan has now more than 60 mosques and musalas available in Tokyo, Osaka, Gumma, Hiroshima, Hokkaido, Kanagawa, Kyoto and many more! (Alhamdulillah)

Also, Japan strives to provide halal food for the visitors and athletes for the 2020 Summer Olympics. It is a huge opportunity for Japan to attract more tourists to come to their country as they are one of the non-muslim countries who are making a mark in the halal-market! With halal-friendly menu, varieties of cuisine can be enjoyed by the Muslim tourists especially when they travel to Japan.

According to Professor Tanada from Waseda University (2017) stated that Muslim community contributed in the gross domestic product (GDP) per capita as in 2016, the data gained shown that there are about 120,000 overseas Muslims and 10,000 Japanese Muslims living in Japan despite it is a Muslim-minority country.
